We have created this website to chronicle our adoption journey to China for our daughter, Lili Angeline.  Our journey began in January 2006 with an information packet from Living Hope Adoption Agency in Pennsylvania and a 2006 Living Hope calendar.

Living Hope, a small Christian adoption agency in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1994 by Dr. Samuel Fang and his wife Lily after witnessing firsthand the overwhelming number of orphans in their native China.  We chose Living Hope because of their dedication to the children in China and the fact that in addition to facilitating adoptions they also help care for the children remaining in China through their Living Hope International Orphanage Project.  You can find out more about Living Hope International's sponsorship programs by clicking here.

We officially applied with Living Hope in February and received our contract to enter their adoption program shortly thereafter.  We mailed our signed contract and initial fee a month later and received our Living Hope workbook at the end of March.  The workbook helped guide us through the entire process, beginning with the collection and preparation of documents that we gather into a "dossier" that will be sent to China.  This part of the process is known as the "paperchase" and typically takes 4-6 months to complete.
