In the paperwork that we send to China we are able to request certain things including a specific gender and age range of the child which the CCAA will try to match with us.  We have requested a girl between 6 and 12 months old.

Little is known about what takes place in the CCAA "matching room" which is the place where "paper-ready" orphans are matched to waiting families.  They appear to take into consideration the parents age, income, education, appearance, other children in the family, the number and ages of children available in the orphanages and the number of dossiers submitted during the same time period. 

We feel that there is a little girl who is probably not even born yet that God has chosen for us and that God will guide the CCAA to bring us together.  When that time comes Living Hope will notify us that we have our "referral" and will provide us with some basic information about our child including a small photo, her name and it's translation, approximate birth date, where she resides and possibly some information about her abandonment.

Until then we will wait...
